• Worked as part of a welding team to manufacture chassis.
• Read and interpreted technical assembly drawings and weld diagrams for chassis, suspensions, and trailer accessories.
• Cut and fabricated steel components for chassis frames using plasma cutters, oxy-fuel torches, and other cutting tools.
• Performed grinding, bending, and shaping of metal sections to meet design specifications.
• Accurately aligned and positioned chassis components using measuring tools and jigs.
• Set up and calibrated MIG welding equipment to ensure precise and strong welds.
• Assembled and secured components using jigs, clamps, and fixtures before welding.
• Tack-welded, bolted, and clamped parts to maintain proper alignment before final welding.
• Executed high-quality welds in vertical, overhead, flat, and horizontal positions to meet structural integrity standards.
• Welded trailer frames, cross-members, drawbars, and suspension components to engineering specifications.
• Smoothed and cleaned welded joints using grinding, chiselling, and filing techniques for a polished finish.
• Ensured workplace safety by adhering to PPE requirements and following industry safety procedures.
• Select, clean, and prepare metal stock and materials for chassis fabrication.
