Responsibilities
  • Operate a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites.
  • Operate tipper trucks to transport and deliver materials such as sand, gravel, soil, and waste.
  • Collaborate with site staff to ensure accurate and timely discharge of concrete as per job specifications.
  • Ensure timely and safe transport of concrete while maintaining proper slump and consistency.
  • Load concrete at the batch plant and verify the correct mix and volume before departure
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking tires, fluid levels, and equipment.
  • Clean the mixer drum, chutes, and exterior of the truck to prevent buildup and ensure hygiene.
  • Follow all traffic laws and job site safety rules, wear PPE, and observe hazard zones.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, plant operators, and site supervisors regarding delivery times and issues.
  • Complete required documentation such as delivery tickets, fuel logs, and timesheets.
  • Report any delays, incidents, or mechanical problems promptly to supervisors or maintenance
  • Respond to changing site requirements and adjust delivery methods as needed to suit different pour conditions
Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Truck Driver
  • Need to hold an MC Driving Licence
  • Minimum AQF cert II or higher qualification
