Description
Our Client Pavan Enterprises Pty Ltd they are seeking a highly organised and motivated Transport Company Manager to oversee and coordinate the company’s transport and logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- To plan and coordinate the transportation of construction material across various destinations efficiently.
- To develop and implement strategic operational policies and procedures to enhance overall transport company performance.
- To oversee daily transportation operations to ensure timely, safe, and efficient delivery of products.
- To pay insurance and registration for trucks on time.
- To manage the scheduling and allocation of vehicles and drivers to optimise productivity.
- To supervise and support drivers and operational staff, ensuring strict adherence to road safety regulations and legal requirements.
- To negotiate and maintain contracts with clients and suppliers, fostering strong and sustainable business relationships.
- To oversee vehicles for repair schedules and vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.
- To plan and continuously optimise delivery routes to minimise costs and maximise service effectiveness.
- To track the real-time traffic conditions and adjust schedules accordingly to prevent delays.
- To monitor the financial performance of the transport division, manage departmental budgets, fuel costs, and maintenance expenses.
- To identify and implement cost-saving strategies to improve profitability.
- To recruit, train, and lead a reliable and professional team of drivers and support personnel.
- To monitor driver performance, provide coaching and corrective measures to maintain service quality and safety standards.
- To investigate and document accidents or incidents, ensuring transparent and accurate reporting.
- To maintain up-to-date and detailed records of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery schedules, and vehicle usage.
- To liaise effectively with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth transport operations and service excellence.
- To resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally, aiming to exceed client expectations.
Qualifications
- Advanced Diploma or Diploma in the relevant field, or a bachelor's degree
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience
