Mitch Freedman Racing is currently looking for 2 experienced Horse Trainers to join the team in Miners Rest, VIC. These roles involve daily horse care, tailored training programs, preparation for racing, and working closely with veterinarians and stable staff to ensure the highest standards of welfare and performance.
- Work closely with veterinarians to monitor and maintain the health and well-being of all horses.
- Conduct groundwork training to improve horse manners and performance under saddle.
- Develop and implement tailored exercise and training programs to suit individual horse needs.
- Prepare horses both mentally and physically for competition, work, or leisure riding.
- Train and mentor riders and trainees in correct horse handling and training techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of training, feeding schedules, and veterinary care.
- Identify and manage behavioural issues using effective and humane training methods.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Work with stable staff to oversee daily routines such as feeding, grooming, and cleaning.
All applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of full-time professional experience in the role, and preferably a relevant qualification as well.
- Salary package $77000 per annum+ 12% superannuation.
