Lentils Indian Cuisine in Torquay
Our client Lentils Indian Cuisine, is looking for skilled and enthusiastic Cook to join their kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing authentic Indian dishes, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Prepare a variety of Indian authentic Indian dishes, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian such as curries, biryanis, tandoori rotis, and desserts.
- Maintain high standards of taste, quality, and food presentation.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored
- Manage kitchen supplies, restock ingredients, and take care of equipment.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Train and support kitchen staff when needed.
- Work as a team with the head chef and others to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Work independently and manage kitchen tasks without supervision.
Cert III in Commercial Cookery is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cook, with a focus on a variety of Indian food recipes, presentation methods, and plating styles.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and the ability to uphold the highest standards of personal hygiene.
Competitive salary of $75,000 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation.
