Description
Our Client GORAYA PAINTING & RENDERING PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Painting Trades Worker to join their team located in Beveridge, VIC, 3753.
Responsibilities
- Assess project requirements by reviewing plans and inspecting surfaces to determine materials, tools and scope of work.
- Erect and secure scaffolding, ladders and platforms, ensuring protection of surrounding areas and safe access.
- Remove, cover and protect fixtures, fittings and adjacent surfaces to prevent damage during painting works.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping and repairing defects such as cracks, holes and damaged woodwork.
- Apply primers, sealants and undercoats to ensure strong adhesion and long-lasting finishes.
- Mix and match paints and coatings to achieve required colours and finishes according to specifications.
- Apply paints, stains and coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment for high-quality results.
- Operate spray guns and specialised tools, and carry out decorative finishes including textures and custom effects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including waste management, hazard identification, and proper storage and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Follow workplace health and safety standards, use PPE, adopt environmentally responsible practices, collaborate with team members, and report hazards or incidents as required.
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Painting and Decoration
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant painting experience
- Must have valid driver's licence
